 | TLH has commissioned more than 30 Houston area
playwrights to write original plays. TLH produced these works in our
children's theater projects and our annual Day Without Art

 | In 1998 TLH launched Thespian Park, a 6500 square
foot parcel of land directly across from our 1706 Alamo Street
building. When complete it will include a landscaped green park and a mural
depicting the history of theater. It is a major revitalization project
within our neighborhood. |
 | TLH has been reviewed and featured in numerous
national theater periodicals receiving outstanding critical praise for our
unique and professional programming. |

TLH commissions two new pieces for the annual Fringe Festival.

Sing Sweet Gospel
traces the history of gospel music and is performed as a site-specific
production at St Paul's A.M.E. Church (one of Houston's oldest black
churches, located only seven blocks from Theater LaB). |

Body Ratio 1:8 is an
expanded multimedia performance by Women's Works. |
